LARGE, COMFORTABLE AND PERFECTLY LOCATED
|
|
Le Foulon is a big property, which is exactly what you want when holidaying with a large group of friends or family. 700m2 with a very large lounge, bar and dining space, a separate library and conservatory space and a massive garden to loose yourself in: these are the ingredients for a stress-free break for all the family. The kids can scream as they bounce up and down on the trampoline whilst mum can put here feet up in the conservatory with a good book.

We have 13 bedrooms, 10 with en suite bathrooms and an extra double shower room for the remaining three. Not having to wait for someone in the bathroom in the morning makes for a happy holiday! Plus the bathrooms and plumbing were installed when we renovated the house and were specified to deal with a large group of people. We heat 1700 litres of hot water in a series of tanks, zoned to deal with each bathroom. Don't ask us what our utility bills are like, but it's an essential cost to ensure no one finds the hot water has run out when they're the last out of bed. |

Talking of hot water the pool is kept at 26 degrees between May and towards the end of October, but if you want something a little more invigorating go for a swim in the mountain water flowing down the River Loup. It will take your breath away! |

If you like cooking, or know a friend that does, then you've come to right place. The kitchen is very large and can cope with preparing meals for 72 wedding guests. It's very well equipped and with most things super-sized cooking for a larger number of people becomes a pleasure and not a chore. We spent too many holidays in rental gites with one blunt knife and a couple of aluminium pans to inflict that on our guests. If we've not got what you're looking for then you probably need to look a little harder! Or just ask, it's there somewhere. Likewise with the fridge and freezer - a domestic fridge just won't do and we were lucky enough to have a chambre froid, or cold room, already installed when we bought the place. Bigger than some kids bedrooms you can keep all your food and drink for a large group for a week nice and cold. There's also a large chest freezer for guest use. |
