2024 & 2025 PRICING IN EUROS, PER WEEK, EXCLUSIVE USE |
You cannot really compare Le
Foulon to renting a villa in any way except for price. Where
else
do you find
9 large bedrooms, each with their own modern en suite bathroom? Four more comfortable rooms in a separate corridor, ideal for children?
Or truly spacious living areas where friends can remain so
for however long they stay? Or indeed a large semi-commercial
kitchen that will have the budding Gordon Ramsays among you
swearing with delight? Not to mention 16 acres of prairie,
woodlands full of oak and 2 rivers?
These 7 night self catering prices are for exclusive use of Le Foulon, for the number of people specified - for example if only 12 of you wish to holiday then you have our 6 best bedrooms and the remainder remain closed and empty. There is no bar or any other staff services when you choose the self-catering option - you have Le Foulon to yourselves, although why not take advantage of our chef service - see below. |
These are Saturday to Saturday rentals. Sometimes we can be flexible on the change over day. An obligatory €200 cleaning fee is payable on departure. To secure your reservation we ask for a 30 percent deposit with the remainder payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. |

CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LOVE LE FOULON |
With a large field for all manner of sports, a heated pool, table tennis table, table football, a forest full of fantastically climbable trees, as well as the modern World of PlayStation, DVD's and WiFi (ask us to set the parental control if you want restricted access), your children will have a ball. And with acres of space they'll never be under your feet. Although the biggest hit with children are the two soppy dogs Enzo and Béné who mooch around getting their tummies rubbed (but if you have any issue with dogs you won't see them all week - just let us know). Just look at our testimonials - it's as if these two own Le Foulon ;-) |
CHEF SERVICE - TAKE A NIGHT OFF FROM COOKING AND CLEANING |
If you'd like one or more nights catered then let us take the strain. Choose from a menu of locally sourced produce and we'll come into the kitchen early evening, serve a delicious 3 course meal and clear it all away and leave you to it. Email for our latest menu and pricing. |
SHOPPING SERVICE - RESTAURANT QUALITY PRODUCE |
With a large group arriving at different times organising the supermarket run is never easy and never fun (espcially on a Saturday with most of France closed on the Sunday), so let us take the strain and have all your produce ready and chilled for your arrival. It's also invaluable when it comes to budgeting for your self-catered stay. Using our wholesale contacts on the Cote d'Azur we can provide restaurant quality food and drink at supermarket prices. |
The quality really is very good, and the meat and wine are especially good value. We have a large list of produce in an excel spreadsheet - simply input the number of items you'd like and the file will give you a running total. Send it to us just before your stay and everything will be here on arrival. Our shopping list changes with the seasons, please contact us for the latest version. |
WEATHER - NO NEED FOR AC & NO MOSQUITOES |
Like the Cote d'Azur Le Foulon enjoys a great year round climate. In summer the days are just as hot as the nearby coast (only 30 minutes drive), but in the evening the temperature cools off a little, allowing you a great night's sleep. You can leave the windows open if you like, and let the babble of the River Loup help you drift off. Because there's no standing water in the valley and because the Winter freeze helps kill the larvae, you rarely find mosquitoes here. For a page dedicated to the changing of the seasons click here. |

NICK & MIA, WHERE ARE YOU? |
We live in a completely separate building withint the grounds of Le Foulon, about 50M from the main house. If you don't wish to you won't see us all week, but some guests like the security of knowing someone's there to help if needed and some other guests simply want to pick our brains about the area and how we ended up in Gréolières from London. |
We respect our guests privacy as well as their right to make as much noise as they like at whatever hour! |
Our fridge, or 'Chambre Froide' (Cold Room) is the about same size as my first apartment |
We provide a complete range of dried herbs and spices
If you use a lot then we simply ask you to add to the collection for the benefit of the next guests |
Most meals will probably be spent here on the bbq terrace
The bbq is an excellent gas powered version (which usually converts the die-hard fans of charcoal)
And the large table has a canopy shade for those long lunches |
The large well equipped semi-commercial kitchen is the perfect place for self-catering a large group of friends and family. Plenty of work surface for people to muck in
and all the facilities
you'd expect for somewhere that can cater for up to 70 people for a wedding
It's also very easy to use - no special chef knowledge required! |
