	CANAL DU FOULON & THE GORGES DU LOUP		The Domaine du Foulon has a massive spring that feeds the drinking water of Grasse via a huge pipeline. Named the canal du foulon this pipeline takes a seemingly impossible route high in the Gorges du Loup - it is a simply stunning walk.



	MOUNT CHEIRON		Rising behind Le Foulon is one of the last of the alps - Mount Cheiron, rising to 1800 metres and providing a panorama of the Cote d'Azur and even Corsica glinting on the horizon. Taken on a very mild January day.



	AUDIBERGUE AND A VIEW OF CANNES		30 minutes drive into the hills from Le Foulon and you come to the most southerly ski resort in the Alps: Audibergue - la Moulière. It has a forest of marked trails for mountain bikes and a chair lift that runs all summer, as well as bike and equipment hire. It's also a fantastic walk with far reaching views down to the bay of Cannes and the Estoril beyond, including Lac de Saint-Cassien in the Var. On this particular day in September 2014 we were joined by no less than 16 Griffon Vultures, with a wing span of up to 1.8 metres. They eyed up our picnic before gliding away.
